The Jasper Parklands is set to be the nicest park the area has seen. The Jasper Park and Recreation Board plan for a July 7 public opening. The 75-acre park will feature native grasses, trees and flowers. The park features two miles of paved trails for walking or biking along with additional crushed gravel paths with access to four exercise stations, a music playground, a multi-level timber construction fort in the woods, a splash pad and a rock playground.

The Jasper Parklands’ managed meadows will provide a learning laboratory for children, residents, and scientists. These native grass and native flower meadows will let the community to step into nature. Yet, the design built in accommodations so that it’s enjoyable and accessible for everyone. The Jasper Parklands was once the Jasper Country Club golf course. Enter the park from 15th street across fro the National Guard Armory. The grand opening begins at 1 p.m. that Saturday.
