This survey is important so that officials know what the public thinks. What do people like about the downtown now and what would they like to see moving forward? The deadline for the survey is November 20.

Then, in December, the National Main Street Center and Indiana Main Street Center will be in the city for a transformational strategies workshop. That workshop will focus on the future of the city’s downtown.

The Main Street Center works to revitalizes historic commercial districts like Downtown Jasper in order to build thriving local economies with a vibrant lifestyle that residents can benefit from. Jasper was selected to be a part of the economic development strategy workshops. The city’s participation could easily lead to future grants.
