Huntingburg Residents: No Need To Be Concerned Over New Flouride Review, Your Levels Are Below Those Levels
Many people have been sharing the Newsweek article about fluoridated water on social media. The article was one of many written about a review of previous studies pertaining to water fluoridation programs. One point that people seem to bring up is that the authors of the review mentioned the following excerpt from the review:
“Overall, the results of the studies reviewed suggest that, where the fluoride level in water is 0.7 ppm, there is a chance of around 12% of people having dental fluorosis that may cause concern about how their teeth look.”
The CDC says that the review doesn’t offer any new information and doesn’t suggest making any changes, but some people still wonder if they should be concerned. Now, this post certainly is not going to comment on the matter of fluoride in water either way. That’s for the experts to figure out. This post is to simply point out that Huntingburg residents have no reason to worry in the least!
The most recent Huntingburg water quality report below the target therapeutic levels that were associated with possible fluorosis. Huntingburg water only contain 0.595 ppm of fluoride. So, for us, this is a total non issue either way! So, no matter what the experts finally decide, if they haven’t already, Huntingburg’s water doesn’t even contain enough fluoride to risk aesthetic concerns.
If water quality is important to you, as it is to many of us, also check out the previous blog that points out that Jasper and Huntingburg actually tie for the best quality water of the more populated municipalities in all of Indiana!
