The way EPA scores work, they are graded on a scale of 1 to 100 that factors 15 different indicators. In this scale, 1 is the worst and 100 is the best. The closer a water supply is to 100, the better the quality. Incidentally, the national average score is 55.
Jasper and Huntingburg come in the last row of the comparative sheet. The higher up a city is on this sheet, the worse the city’s water quality was found to be. So, for Jasper and Huntingburg residents, being last really means scoring the best! Both Jasper and Huntingburg tied for the best water.They had the same scores of 67. That indicates Jasper and Huntingburg as bearers of the best quality water of the 101 Indiana cities tested.
