Do You Know An Outstanding Physician At Memorial Hospital?
Jasper area residents, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center seeks nominations from the public for the hospital’s annual Little Company of Mary Outstanding Physician Award. Last year, Dr. Bernard Kemker received the 2017 Little Company of Mary (LCM) Outstanding Physician Award. The award is named after the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, the sponsors of the hospital.
The award supports and recognizes exemplary devotion to the hospital’s mission statement. In order to be eligible, the physician exhibits core values of respect for human dignity, justice, compassion, stewardship, and quality care. Two other requirements also exist. The physician must be an active medical staff member for at least a year. The physician must also be in good standing with the medical staff.
How To Submit Nomination
Michele Rose, Memorial Hospital’s medical staff coordinator, will accept nominations by the public until February 2, 2018. To submit a nomination, contact Michele Rose at 812-996-0675 or mrose@mhhcc.org. Jasper area residents can also log on to the hospital’s website to nominate their favorite physician.
The top six nominations advance for review by a selection committee. The selection committee consists of the executive director of mission integration, the vice president of patient services/chief nursing officer , and medical staff officers. Presentation of the award to the winner happens at the hospital’s annual Medical Staff Appreciation Banquet.
