Did Chrome’s Latest Update Just Frustrate You While House Hunting?
Change is good, right? Sometimes, though there’s too many changes at once. If you were minding your own business, shopping for houses on Google using Google Chrome, only to have Chrome completely change on you, don’t worry. There is a way to mostly go back to the old, comfortable Chrome you’re used to.
Chrome Browser is ten years old, so to celebrate, Google rolled out a fresh new version of the browser featuring a softer, rounder look. There are plenty of new features you can check out, when things settle down for you. For right now though, if you just want your old Chrome Browser back, we know just how to do it.
To revert back to Chrome’s UI the way it looked last week, all you have to do is type “chrome://flags” into your address bar. That will take you to a new page that you may have never seen before. That’s OK. Look for the “UI Layout for the browser’s top chrome” option. There’s a lot of info on this page, so, it might be easiest to just use the find function found as a tool when you click the three dots in the top right hand of the browser just underneath the X. Click “find” and type “UI Layout” to quickly locate what you’re looking for. Once you find the “UI Layout for the browser’s top chrome” option, just simply change the setting from “default” to “normal.” Then, click “apply” and restart the browser. That will mostly bring you back to the old version and hopefully help keep the changes you have to deal with focused on finding the perfect new home for you!
