Millennials Do Not Like Carpet, Sellers In Dubois County Should Take Note

Millennials are the largest generation the world has ever known and they’re also the largest group of homebuyers at the moment. Chances are, they’re not going to like the carpet in your Dubois County home. It’s not your carpet specifically. They don’t even want you to replace your carpet with new carpet. They’re also probably not going to want a carpet allowance written into the deal. See, Millennials just tend to not like carpet at all.

They are health-conscious and they prefer non-carpeted floors. Now, Millennials will accept any hard surface flooring if they must, but when given the option, 75 percent of Millennials are willing to pay more for eco-friendly products like sustainable building materials. When it comes to flooring, they will be pleased with the hardwood floors that might be hiding under your carpet, of course, but if you need to install flooring, Millennials prefer bamboo, FSC-Certified Wood (wood certified as environmentally friendly by the Forest Stewardship Council), reclaimed wood from olf boxcars, barns, and warehouses, and cork.
