The City of Evansville Board of Park Commissioners approved a new dog park on Evansville’s East Side. Woodmere Dog Park will be on land that is right next to the soccer field along Vann Avenue and the Evansville State Hospital.
The Friends of Woodmere Dog Park, a non-profit organization, will fund all costs associated with the City of Evansville’s new dog park. This dog park will actually feature separate areas for different types of dogs. It should open soon!

It’s expected to be a world-class dog park that will be beautiful for people too!
