After you’ve made an offer on a house and the seller has accepted, your real work begins. You’ll need to get the home inspected and appraised, and then negotiate the final sale price. Here’s a look at what happens next.

What Happens After the Seller Says “Yes” to Your Offer?

After a seller accepts your offer, you still have to go through these steps:

The home inspection
The appraisal
Your final walk-through
Closing

Home Inspection

Once your offer is accepted, you’ll need to schedule a home inspection. This is important because it will give you an idea of the condition of the property and any repairs that may need to be made. Make sure to hire a qualified inspector who can provide a detailed report.

Appraisal

The next step is to get the property appraised. This will help to determine the final sale price of the home. Your lender will require an appraisal in order to approve your loan.

Final Walk-Through
