Southern Hills Counseling Center Merged Into LifeSpring Health Systems

In case you didn’t know, LifeSpring Health Systems in Jeffersonville and Southern Hills Counseling Center in Jasper are now officially one organization. The Southern Hills Counseling Center dropped its name to take on the LifeSpring name. The good news is that no programs or staff changed from this merger. So, the hope is that this merger will result in serving the Southern Indiana in a more efficient and comprehensive way. Southern Hills started nearly 50 years ago. LifeSpring too. Both organizations were non-profits that provided behavioral health services to about 12,500 people in the area every year.

The merger allows the former Southern Hills facility to expand its services even further. The executive director of Southern Hills planned retirement after a transition period following the recent merger.

LifeSpring Health Systems will now provide the official state-designated community mental health services for the following Southern Indiana counties: Clark, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Orange, Perry, Scott, Spencer and Washington.
