There are farmers markets in and around Dubois County, but two absolutely stand out in social media rankings and by word-of-mouth. The two farmers’ markets in or near Dubois County, according to what we’ve seen and heard, have to be the Jasper Farmers’ Market and Pumpkins and More.

Jasper Farmers’ Market

Located at 214 Jackson St. in Jasper, the Jasper Farmers’ Market is a local favorite. This is a fun outing for everyone with fresh produce and goods surrounded by great people. One thing that really makes the Jasper Farmers’ Market stand out was the introduction of Market Bucks. Market Bucks are a type of currency that customers can spend only at the market.

There are two different kinds of Market Bucks: Gift Bucks and Fresh Bucks.

Gift Bucks are essentially tokens that work like a gift card. You can give them to people so that they can buy food themselves at the Jasper Farmers’ Market. Pumpkins and More is located at 8641 East County Road 1720 N in Ferdinand. Pumpkins and More offers homegrown and locally grown produce. It also offers a ton more too! You can head to this market to purchase locally crafted cheese, jellies, jams, and baked goods. You can buy locally grown and processed lamb, beef, pork and more. They have outstanding pork franks, beef snack sticks, and summer sausage! Plus, they have baked goods including bread and cookies too! A local favorite not to miss out on is the local honey!
