3 Great Places to Golf in Jasper, IN

There are several places to golf in and around Jasper, Indiana, but we wanted to share with you some of the courses we enjoy the most. Dubois County has multiple municipal and privately owned courses, so you’ll definitely find your favorite – but if you’re new to the area, check out these three first.

Alvin C. Ruxer Golf Course

Alvin C. Ruxer Golf Course is a municipal golf course in Jasper. Golf Advisor ranks this golf course as 4.5 out of 5 stars. Though it’s an extremely affordable place to golf, our former real estate clients tell us that this course has very good conditions. It was made in 1994 on land that was deeded to Jasper from Alvin C. Ruxer. It has four par 4’s and five par 3’s. The driving range is well lit in the evening and the grounds have a large practice green. It also features a Pro Shop and hosts tournaments and activities for local residents.

Buffalo Trace Golf Course

Buffalo Trace Golf Course is another municipal golf course. Golf Advisor ranks this course at 3.5 out of 5 stars. The course, especially the front nine is well maintained and has an excellent layout. Intermediate golfers report that the course is challenging. The average rating comes mostly from older reviews and our local friends tell us that the staff and course conditions have improved significantly recently.

Sultan’s Run Golf Course

Sultan’s Run Golf Course is part of Sultan’s Run Country Club. The course is regularly described as “challenging but fair.” The green surfaces are always in immaculate condition. Obviously, it’s more expensive than the municipal courses in Jasper, but the course is above average in amenities and quality.
